<div><p> Supporters speak up on behalf of NLV candidate for mayor</p><p> North Las Vegas mayoral candidate William Robinson still has many supporters in the community after news broke that he was investigated for possible corruption by the FBI in 1994 — though no charges were ever filed.</p><p>Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins made an automated phone call to about 8,000 voters attacking Robinson’s opponent, Councilwoman Shari Buck.</p><p>And last week — after a Sun story detailing the fallout from the FBI story — former state Sen. Joe Neal called the newsroom to voice his support for the candidate.</p><p>“I don’t appreciate this,” Neal said about the stories. “It’s all bull.”</p><p>Robinson has been a North Las Vegas City councilman for 26 years. Neal was the first black elected to the state Senate, in 1972.
